Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.

This collaboration in made up of

  • Second Step – A leading mental health charity in the South West
  • Alabaré – A national homelessness and mental health charity based in Wiltshire
  • Nilaari – A Black-led mental health charity
  • Missing Link – Providing specialist women’s mental health services

We employ Recovery Navigators to work within the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) Community Mental Health teams and run a women’s crisis house that is part of the AWP Care Pathway.

In June 2026, we opened Oriana House in Swindon, the first women’s crisis house for the BSW area, delivered in partnership with Alabare, Nilaari, Second Step and AWP to extend this vital model of support to more women in the region.

Our women’s crisis houses offer a safe, welcoming and supportive alternative to hospital admission for women experiencing a mental health crisis. Based on a trauma-informed, rights-based and recovery-focused approach, they provide short-term support in a homely, non-medical setting, helping women through immediate crisis while building resilience, strengthening support networks and supporting longer-term wellbeing.
