To mark the UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Next Link is inviting people to join its candlelit march to highlight the number of women and children affected by Domestic Abuse and Rape and Sexual Abuse. The march highlights the United Nation’s International Elimination of Violence against Women’s day.

Do you have any festive gifts you could donate to the women and children in our safe houses?

2017-01-30T17:50:52+00:00

Christmas is around the corner and Next Link is gearing up for what will undoubtedly be a busy period.

Domestic abuse happens all year round and many women and children will be spending this Christmas in our safe houses.

The festive period can be an incredibly difficult time of year for the women and children who are experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse and during this time, more than ever, they require the support of specialist services like we provide at Next Link.

We strive to ensure the families we work with have a safe and happy Christmas day and the children in our safe house wake up on December 25th to safety, security and excitement and you can help us with this mission!

Many amazing people choose to donate to Next Link during this festive period and we welcome any gifts/donations for the women and children with open arms.

So that we can manage the donations and to ensure that they reach the intended recipients in time for Christmas, we have set up a ‘Donation Period’.

Between the 5th-19th December our main office at 5 Queen Square will have a dedicated team on hand to accept any donations. Our office opening ours are between 8.30-5.30, Monday to Friday.

Items we are currently very short on

  • Women’s winter clothing such as jumpers/coats
  • Older children’s winter clothing (aged 6 upwards)
  • Toys for children aged 6+

If you want to talk to us about possible donations, please give the office a call and ask to speak to either Charlie Oswald or Andrea Russe and thank you for thinking of us!
